For more beautiful stations

From 1 March, the TAMOIL station in Neuchâtel has undergone a complete facelift. It is the first station in our network to receive an entirely new look. The external part of this visual update was carried out in collaboration with the ID Neon company, while the shop was totally redesigned and modernised in partnership with Valora.
In addition to the more modern graphic appearance, the following improvements have been made :

  • 3D prints to give more depth
  • A clearer and more modern totem sign
  • Installation of interior and exterior LED lights, which improve the station’s visibility and save energy

Also, since the start of the year, a new station joined the TAMOIL network. Located in Crissier in the Canton of Vaud, its external appearance has been fully renovated in line with the new direction we wanted to take.

The equipping of 144 TAMOIL service stations with gasstationtv must be completed by mid-2018. The screens will broadcast an attractive news programme, with messages about road conditions, traffic delays, as well as other useful information, and all of this in high definition.

A “win-win” situation

“We want to give our customers a pleasant welcome in every respect”, is the wish of Hans Boesch, Retail Network Director of TAMOIL (Suisse) SA: “as well as a modern architecture, this also comprises the latest news and entertainment that our customers can enjoy as they fill up their petrol tanks.”

At the same time, the service station shops, restaurants and services will have access to a high-quality platform via these screens on which to present their services. “It’s Win-Win” comments Mr Boesch. TAMOIL has found a reliable service provider with a high level of technical competence and a partnership-based approach.

TAMOIL joins the “EVPASS” network

Green Motion is an independent company formed in 2009, which designs and produces charging systems for electric vehicles. Its EVPASS public charging network is the largest in Switzerland, with 487 charging points.

TAMOIL approached Green Motion in response to increasing demand, and put forward a partnership proposal to install electric charging points in our Tamoil service stations.

The first installation was completed at the La Côte motorway service area in Bursins (VD) on the way into Geneva, in September. Several types of cables are available for charging all types of electric vehicles.

New EVPASS rapid charging points will be installed in TAMOIL service stations in the near future.
